  • 1. YouTube Shooter

  • On Tuesday, April 3, a female shooter entered YouTube headquarters and injured three before killing herself. Police have identified the shooter as Nasim Aghdam, an active YouTube user who posted videos accusing the video platform of blocking or filtering her content with the intent of reducing her views.

  • Aghdam's father had reported her missing and warned police that Aghdam "hated" YouTube and might be headed there.

  • Something to chew on when you're dropping your kids off at a friend's house...

  • Clinical psychologist Peter Langman and University of Texas Medical Branch professor, Jeff Temple both recognize that talking to kids about mass violence is a big feat. However, since so often there are warning signs, these experts say the ability to identify and report these signs can save lives.

  • Langman and Temple recommend teaching kids to take comments seriously such as: • "I'm going to bring a gun to school."

  • • "Don't come to the cafeteria on Monday."

  • They also stress the importance of teaching kids the difference between being a tattletale and ensuring people's safety.

  • The Upside Down

  • This October, Universal Studios is transforming into the Upside Down from Netflix's "Stranger Things." And while neither Will or dearly departed Barb would recommend a trip to the Upside Down, we're buying our tickets. (Just crossing our fingers we don't run into a demogorgon.)
