When we, or someone we love, are wronged, the natural reaction is anger, hurt and the desire for revenge or justice. However, the Bible teaches forgiveness.
Scientifically, forgiveness has been shown to help lower blood pressure, cholesterol and heart rate and to improve sleep quality which has numerous effects on good health. Letting go of grudges also reduces levels of depression, anxiety and anger.
Forgiveness is an important way to process the hurt or injury we’ve received and let it go to avoid further negative impact on our lives or our family.
