Man witnessed a horrific crash; then his dash cam recorded 4 miracles

Sometimes only prayer can give us the strength we need.

On a sunny day in Biloxi Missouri, David Fredericksen witnessed a miracle — or to be more precise, he was a large part of a miracle.

It was August 11, 2014. David and his driving partner suddenly witnessed a big explosion as a car slammed into a truck.

Immediately flames engulfed the car, and David jumped out of his truck with a fire extinguisher.

“I just automatically started praying, ‘God please don’t let me have to deal with somebody halfway burned alive, screaming, or have to see kids in here,” Fredericksen told CBN. “I mean I didn’t want to see something like that. My first reaction was that they were dead.”

That’s when the first miracle happened

“I saw this little head pop up in the back window, and immediately, I thought, ‘Wow, they’re alive!” he said.

A grandma and her two-year-old granddaughter were inside the car. The grandma was trying to kick the door open, and despite David being a large man he was deeply struggling to get the door open.

Fredericksen could hear the metal bending and knew time was running out. He needed another miracle.

The second miracle

The only thing more he could do was pray again. Other drivers who witnessed the accident arrived, and together they finally pried the door off the car.

Fredericksen saw the tiny two-year-old head pop up again in the backseat, so he reached in and the little girl grabbed him around the neck. As others helped the woman out of the car, Fredericksen carried the toddler to safety.

That’s when he realized the third and fourth miracle

Despite touching the blazing car, Fredericksen didn’t get hurt. He believe God intervened that day and put Fredericksen in the path of this car accident to help save them.

“The car was on fire, and I didn’t burn my hands. It wasn’t hot. I believe that He protected me and protected them,” he said. “If I had been twenty seconds sooner, I would have been down the road. If it would have been ten seconds sooner, it would have been me she hit. I’ve never met that lady, but I am just very happy that I was able to help her that day.”

Be the answer to prayer for those around you

In 2010, nearly 80 percent of Americans believed in miracles. Often those miracles happen when God uses us to answer other’s prayers.

When Fredericksen saw someone in need, he immediately acted. He’s a great example of being an answer to someone’s prayer. We can all look for little ways to make someone’s day – whether that’s through literally saving a life, or smiling at someone you pass.
